Desert Flower is the new project by Maria Laura Bigliazzi. Like a flower growing in the desert, emerging in a hostile environment, creativity often arises as a way of overcoming the darkest and most difficult moments.
All the pieces are original compositions, inspired by “travel notes,” poems, works of art, drawings, dreams, stories, narratives, melodies, and music from different sources. From these influences come soundscapes, spaces for improvisation, and songs in different moods, rhythms, and languages—like pages from a diary of emotions coloured by jazz.
