DESCRIPTION
Course reserved for students aged 6 to 10.
This educational programme aims to create a pathway that, following the principles of Music Learning Theory, guides students toward a sensory and playful approach to music. The focus is on building a varied repertoire and meaningful experiences connected to it. Lessons will always be structured around group activities, alternating movement-based games with short moments requiring greater concentration, and dedicating most of the time to singing and spatial exploration without introducing traditional theoretical concepts.
All activities will support, as much as possible, the development of audiation, understood as the ability to retain elements of harmonic and rhythmic syntax internally and later recall or perform them. Students will be encouraged to develop musical skills such as distinguishing between different sounds, identifying the tonal centre of a piece and its underlying rhythmic patterns, gradually progressing toward accurate intonation, a sense of rhythm, expressive coherence, and related abilities.
Lessons will be designed and adapted to be as engaging and stimulating as possible for the entire group, fostering above all the pleasure of learning and creative expression.
The course will be led by singer, musician, and Audiation Institute–certified teacher Andrea Lazzeretti, together with bassist and Audiation Institute–certified teacher Francesco Bini, both members of the internationally active rock band Piqued Jacks.
