In April 2006, Folco, Leonardo, and Emiliano—already the horn section of the band Sweaters—decided to create a “side” project, born from the desire to explore the paths of their beloved vintage rock’n’roll with a naïve and playful spirit.
In the blink of an eye, the trio of musician friends transformed themselves from a powerful horn section into a lively vocal and rhythm section, setting aside their brass instruments to pick up bass, guitar, and drums.
The result is a fresh and engaging performance, suspended between Beatles-like classicism, the irreverence of the Rolling Stones, the poetry of Bob Dylan, the raw elegance of Lou Reed, the energy of Elvis, and the timeless charm of the 1950s and 1960s.
Thus the Sciabadoga were born: a trio equally at home in living rooms and on stage that, for almost twenty years, has carried its passion for rock’n’roll from venue to venue—clubs, bars, dance halls, and taverns—with a repertoire that tells, with irony and affection, the songs that shaped the history of music.
