All of this unfolds against the tragedy of a woman who entered a clinic to give birth and was left in a vegetative state.
Sidney Lumet brings together a first-rate cast, including Paul Newman, Charlotte Rampling, Jack Warden and James Mason. Our focus, however, will be on an apparently secondary character: the bishop’s secretary, portrayed by the American actor Kent Broadhurst.
