POMA OPENS ITS DOORS TO THE CONTEMPORARY
The exhibition presents 24 works dedicated to the theme of Pinocchio, an enduring and iconic subject.
Arriving directly from Venice is GPS Art Factory, a collective of 12 artists engaged in Contemporary Art:
ANDREA TAGLIAPIETRA, Venice 1976
He lives and works in Burano. The Venetian island he has chosen as his home offers a multitude of stimuli and inspirations for his personal artistic research, as he notes that “chaos can be found everywhere, while the poetry of this place is unique.” His current forms of expression range from painting to sculpture, with frequent explorations into performance and video art.
ARIELE BACCHETTI, Belluno 1994
She obtained her diploma from Liceo artistico in Belluno in 2015 and a Painting Diploma from Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice in 2020.
Recent exhibitions include: Ruroni, curated by Lisangela Perigozzo at Luogo Arte Contemporanea; Who killed bambi?, curated by Gianluca D’Incà Levis at Dolomiti Contemporanee; and Neue Position, curated by Marco Vedana at Galerie Monica Ruppert, Frankfurt am Main.
ALESSANDRA CRABA, Oristano 1986
She grew up in Florence before moving to Rovigo, where she completed her art studies. She later relocated to Venice to attend IUAV, graduating with honours in Visual Arts and approaching contemporary art. She then moved to London and Glasgow, working in the fashion and vintage sectors while continuing her artistic and photographic production.
Upon returning to Venice in 2013, she experimented widely and created numerous works on different surfaces and materials. Her most recent works are produced in her new studio, Via Selva, where she has been a member since December 2022.
ANDREA ROSARA, Camposampiero (PD) 1980
He is an interdisciplinary artist based in Venice, where he lives and works.
He works mainly with painting and drawing and also has a strong interest in printmaking. He completed both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Visual Arts at Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice.
His work has been exhibited in several Venetian galleries, in both group and solo shows. He has taken part in the Giudecca Arts Festival, at La Fenice gallery, and at the Techwood gallery in Venice.
LUSA ŠIROK, Nova Gorica (Slovenia) 1982
He studied at Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice and is one of the most prominent emerging artists of the younger generation in the Goriška region of Slovenia.
Trained primarily as a painter, he works with a wide variety of media, including painting, drawing, collage, printmaking, installation, digital art, and combinations of these. Even within a single medium, he applies an eclectic approach combining techniques (pastel, ink, acrylic, oil, spray paint) and languages (abstract, figurative). Through this method, he seeks to convey an authentic portrayal of daily existence, shaped by elements typical of contemporary life: a frame-by-frame perception of the world, the dissolution of major mythological systems, and the heterogeneity of ethical and moral codes.
GRETA FERRETTI, Rome 1996
In 2022 she graduated with honours with a Second-Level Diploma in Visual Arts and Performing Arts from Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, studying under Professor Carlo Di Raco in Atelier F. She lives and works in Venice.
Her artistic research in painting is connected to a narrative framework drawing from a personal catalogue of circumstances, real and imagined places, people, and destinies. Elements apparently unrelated gather together; through a sort of chromatic prism, a suspended sense of dreamlike, at times enigmatic storytelling emerges. Illuminated by an intimate beauty that no distortion can conceal, the figures, introspective and poignant, share the condition of being shaped by complex forces and the tension to break free from them. Objects and animals also take part: their clarity generates hybrid forms that explore the endless possibilities of transformation within experience and memory.
ASYA DELL’OMODARME, Livorno 1997
She lives and works between Livorno and Venice.
In 2020 she obtained a First-Level Diploma in Painting from Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence; in 2024 she completed her Second-Level Academic Diploma in Painting at Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice. Since 2021 she has been a member of Atelier F, participating in all workshop activities and related exhibitions, including the Antares Workshop.
In 2023 she won the Premio Mestre Pittura; the winning work is part of the Ca’ Pesaro collection.
In 2024 she collaborated on the creation of the mural for the MAHKU collective at the Central Pavilion, Giardini, on the occasion of the Venice Biennale. Selected among the finalists of the Combat Prize, she received the Premio Galleria.
BRENNO DAMIAN, Treviso 1997
After completing high school, he moved to Bologna to attend a Philosophy degree programme, which he left after two years in 2019 to pursue artistic studies in the Visual Arts programme at IUAV in Venice.
A member of Atelier Venezia since December 2022, he continues research centred on the controlled randomness of pictorial material.
ALICE SALVATO, Venice 1997
She graduated in 2021 in Art Graphics from Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, where she lives and works.
She is enrolled in the first year of the Master’s programme in Painting in Atelier F, under the guidance of Professors Carlo Di Raco and Martino Scavezzon.
She participated in the Extraordinario Workshop exhibition in collaboration with Vulcano Agency in 2021 and 2022.
GINO BLANC, Venice 1974
A painter and multifaceted artist, he trained at Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice. With over twenty-five years of artistic career, Gino Blanc is regarded as a sophisticated visual thinker, gifted with exceptional sensitivity to the evocative qualities of painting and experimentation with new materials. His works merge internal imagery with suggestions drawn from the complexity of reality. His entire research aims to render vivid, purely aesthetic sensations through the potential of painting. He currently lives and works in Venice.
BRUNO FANTELLI, Cles (TN) 1996
He graduated from the three-year Painting programme at Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, studying under Professors Carlo Di Raco and Martino Scavezzon of Atelier F. He lives and works between Venice and Dimaro-Folgarida (TN).
Recent activities include: the solo exhibition Balzo di specie at Cellar Contemporary in Trento; the group exhibition at Palazzo Reale in Milan on the occasion of the 21st Premio Cairo; participation in the travelling exhibitions of Venice Time Case curated by Luca Massimo Barbero; as well as participation in the summer workshops and exhibition activities of Atelier F.
Through a painting practice that seeks to suggest endless lists, even when representation appears strictly confined by the frame, elements without specific connections are brought together: the expression of a chaotic narrative in which a dialogue often emerges between the numbering of characters and forms that remain unfinished. These hybrid forms are suggested by the gesture of the brushstroke, giving rise to curious monstrous figures.
Recurring visions weigh on his imagination: battles, jungle attacks, rave parties, playful performances, or escapes by boat. In these contexts, the protagonists are often described in blocks, attempting to outline behavioural inclinations softened by humorous interferences.
ALICE ANDREOLI, Padua 1979
She earned a Specialist Degree in Visual Arts and Performing Arts in 2007. She has been a finalist in numerous competitions, including Premio Celeste (2005); Premio Arte Mondadori (2006); Premio Aletti Art Verona (2009); and she won Premio Internazionale di Pittura Zingarelli in 2010.
Since 2003 she has exhibited nationally and internationally, collaborating with Scatola Bianca project room in Milan; Spazioblù in Bologna; Emmeotto in Verona; Salve Art Gallery in Leipzig (Germany); Tenzor Gallery in Ptuj (Slovenia); and Castello 925 in Venice.
